What Does Being Pro-Choice Really Mean?

Sometimes I wonder if young pro-choicer's have thought about what they advocate.  So when I saw the tweet below, by a pro-lifer, I thought I would address this question.  What does being pro-choice mean?  image

Seasoned pro-choicer's will tell you they advocate all choices, which include the choice to birth, to adopt, to parent, and so on.  But the #1 choice they fight for, is to the choice to abort... legally.  The #1 choice they fight to retain, is the legal option to kill their unborn child.  What kind of nation have we become when women think killing their unborn babies is a way to be equal?

The message of feminism has gotten lost.  Young feminists today have no idea what real oppression is, only of what they perceive it to be.  They should be fighting for those things that define us as women.  Being allowed to give your baby his/her birthday is a good place to start.  Yet they fight to retain the legal right to kill their babies, so they can be equal?  It just makes no sense.

So young feminists, this is directed at you.  Do you know what you advocate?  Do you realize that by being pro-choice, you are advocating for the right for women to have their babies slaughtered?  Don't you think women deserve to have their babies, and have a life too?  I certainly do.  Women deserve better than abortion.

  2. Feminists can be and there are those that ARE pro-life...
(i.e. not all 'modern' feminists are pro-choice but I guess I get your point?)

  3. I apologize for the delay in response. Thank you both for commenting.

MPQ - We must keep hammering in their heads that aborton IS child killing. Maybe one day they'll get it.

JazzFest - While I agree that not all feminists are pro-aborts, in my experience, most young feminista are.

  4. This is why I refuse to use the term "pro-choice."
