Prochoicer's Embracing the F-Word
Check out this twitter convo. One party being @AbortionGang, the other, well there were several others.
Do you see any 'holier than thou' in the picture above? I certainly do. I see condescension, intolerance of another's ideas (jealousy maybe?), a bit of butt kissing, and a whole LOT of the pot calling the kettle black!
Of course, I HAD to look further into it. What is all this about? Seems there is competition in the pro-abort campaign world.
It all started with this, from BackupYourBirthControl.org's Tumblr account. Spend some time there. See what they are teaching our children!
And AbortionGang's answer was this:
Just a few items from the AbortionGang post referenced above. From Chere, the author:
The Top Six Insulting Fucking Reasons Why NARAL/NIRH Thinks You Should Use EC:A pro-abort blog trying to out F-word another pro-abort blog. Way to go ladies! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! You make it so easy to point out the absolute HORRIBLE role models you are.
1) Because if you don’t remember his last name, you probably didn’t remember to use a fucking condom.
2) In the sober light of day, you don’t actually want to have his fucking children.
3) Getting pregnant after you didn’t even get off would be the fucking cherry on top.
4) It’s more effective than your other plan, which is watching a fucking Top Chef marathon.
5) You’ve spent 40 dollars on a lot stupider fucking shit before.
6) Women haven’t always had access to emergency contraception – be a fucking feminist already.
So listen up: I am ALL about backin’ up your bc with some ec, okaaaay, BUT the end does not in any way, shape or form justify the means. Do not think that portraying us as flippant, self-centered and irresponsible is any sort of way to relay a message to us or encourage us to retweet/post/share some bullshit site. We are much smarter, wittier and better at using f-words than you are.
Oh, about one of @AbortionGang's comments in the first picture.
The piece up today is the opinion of one of our writers, not all of us.Can anybody say hypocrite? I can. What about 'holier-than-thou'?
Not even yours abortion gang, not even yours.
Funny how using fancy words covers up the "I'm better than you" attitude. It doesn't.
*********U P D A T E*********
I saw this tweet by Steph Herold aka @IAmDrTiller aka @abortiongang. Apparently, Feministing had a little jealousy of their own, and jumped right in the middle of the dispute.
Vanessa writes:
Now on to the controversy. When I first saw that Tumblr, I was thrilled to see an organization (one I admittedly used to work for) take a refreshing, funny and bold messaging strategy
I guess what I’m saying is that demonizing an awareness campaign for addressing the fact that people have unprotected sex is shaming in itself. More specifically, it shames the people who have had those experiences, because sometimes — let’s face it folks, a lot of times – this is what happens. Saying that having unprotected sex is “flippant” and “self-centered” is shaming.Sure Vanessa. From your post:
I had consensual unprotected sex fully knowing the consequences of that action, and took EC the next day.I suppose the answer to the last question would be - 'That depends on whether or not you were drunk'?
I’ve also had consensual sex with a person whose last name I didn’t know. Does that make me a “drunken slut”?

We've Seen the Pictures, Let's Look at the Numbers
We have all seen this statement, sometimes as in this example, posed as a question, and perhaps worded a bit differently. The reality is, most prochoicers are afraid to look at pictures of aborted fetuses. Most prochoicers are afraid of reality, the reality that is the result of abortion.
Many will tell you "most abortions are performed before 9 weeks gestation". That's true, Guttmacher published the reports, and prolifers have no reason not to believe them.
As Guttmacher's chart shows, 88% of abortion occur in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. Prolifer's like me say "so what?" You do the math. You look at the reality.
In just one example, only 6.6% of babies are aborted at 13-15 weeks.
That's almost 80 THOUSAND babies killed at or near this stage. Does that make it more 'real'? Don't you think it's time to stop the needless slaughter of these tiny defenseless humans? I do.

Stupid Prochoice Tweets
Sometimes, what I read on the prochoice tag is so stupid, it just HAS to be shared.
Periods are murder? Whether prochoicers are talking about an unfertilized egg, or even sperm, I have to wonder where there common sense is.
This one was just really stupid, no other comment is needed, except that it shows the immorality of prochoice.
From @NattyDreadzz, who is probably 13 or 14, but still! It does make you wonder if she blames herself for her parents splitting up. It's really sad if that's the case.
From @Kwistred who believes castrating pro-life men (who are married to pro-life women), would somehow end abortion.
From @PeriodPiece, who most prolifers on twitter have blocked, due to spamming the prolife hashtag. Let's put that 3% figure to rest. In 2007, Planned Parenthood reported 3,020,651 unduplicated clients served. They also reported a total of 305,310 abortions performed. You do the math. It's 10%.
From @Kwistred, who believes that removing testicles of prolife men, is the answer to stopping abortion.
@Kwistred, the answer to stopping abortion, is for women to stop having abortions. Simple concept eh?
From @Kwistred, who is supposed to have a PhD, yet believes there's a fairy that *magically* turns a baby into a human at birth.
And this one, also from the 'genius' @Kwistred
I suppose the same *magical* fairy passes her wand over the baby, and *poof*, an instant brain? Really stupid huh?
From @juliewashere88, who is supposedly in the Army, and supposedly protecting live of Americans like you and me. Scary thought, isn't it?
Yes Julie, prolife can easily escape what you believe as fact. Abortion kills humans. No-one except maybe @Kwistred would disagree with that.

Flying Hippos, Unicorns, and Pro-Aborts Oh My!
"According to the school, the students were banned because they didn’t attain permission beforehand for their demonstration."She links to The Globe and Mail, which also states that:
“It wasn’t anything about what the students were trying to say; it was the inappropriate way they went about it,” he* said. “They didn’t get approval from the school. They didn’t do anything of the sort.”and
*John De Faveri, director of education with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board
The students who wore a pro-choice message hadn’t asked for permission and some swore or were belligerent to teachers, Mr. De Faveri said. (emphasis mine)You know what, even if they HAD asked permission, I personally wouldn't blame a Catholic institution for rejecting them. The Globe and Mail also states:
Catholic schools are struggling to bridge a growing divide between popular opinion and church doctrineYou see, abortion is against Catholic doctrine, and that's something that should never be changed due to 'popular opinion'. What if one day the popularity of slaughtering newborns increases? Should the church change their doctrine accordingly? Of course not.
In true liberal pro-abort style, Alicia took a shot at Life News in her comment on the AG post.
I’ve read a few things about this (I’ve found it rather hard to keep track of because no one seems to be reporting on it). The funny thing is, everyone else has said that these students were largely non-disruptive. They argued with faculty when told to go home, but no one has said anything about profanity or outright insubordination. Until you read LifeNews, of course, where these demon children attacked and degraded their poor teachers and fellow students. (emphasis mine)Perhaps she should read the article in it's entirety next time. I didn't find an article regarding this in LifeNews, but admittedly, I didn't spend a lot of time searching.
Yeah, right…And my pillow just turned into a hippo and learned to fly.
Oh and Alicia, does your hippo fly alongside your unicorn? Oh that's right, unicorns don't fly. Silly me.

#ProChoice Minimizes the Violence of Rape
And Pro-Choice is supposed to be Pro-Woman? I don't think so.
Carrying an unwanted pregnancy to term, is worse than being raped, at least in the minds of pro-aborts.
#Prochoice Common Sense 101 - Oh wait!
WTH? If you WANT to donate to Planned Parenthood, who's stopping you? You are FREE to donate to anyone you wish. If I want to NOT send my money to PP, who's trying to force me to do it anyway? You are! Now, who's the hypocrite?

Yes, Abortion is Used as Birth Control
First, the literal meaning: something that controls birth. The second meaning, which seems much more popular: a method of contraception.Though Merriam Webster defines birth control as:
- : control of the number of children born especially by preventing or lessening the frequency of conception : contraception
- : contraceptive devices or preparations
Reading the next paragraph gave me one of those *smh* moments.
In terms of the literal meaning, of course abortion is a way to control birth by preventing it from happening. Most people who talk about abortion as birth control, however, are not referring to the literal meaning. Most people are actually trying to say that women use abortion as a method of contraception. The only problem is that this is impossible. Contraceptives are defined as “an agent or device intended to prevent conception; capable of preventing conception or impregnation.” An abortion is only performed after pregnancy has already started. You literally could not prevent conception by having an abortion.
"Most people are actually trying to say that women use abortion as a method of contraception"Make sense? No, of course not. Abortion cannot take place if conception hasn't taken place. I guess pro-aborts 'think' we think that, and that in itself shows how much they listen and comprehend. Not much.
Now that we know what she thinks we think (she doesn't), let's have a little lecture on pro-abort language.
Pro-choicers who say “I’m okay with abortion as long as it’s not used as birth control” need to reclaim their language. Stop using anti-choice language that punishes women who choose to have their own feelings instead of feeling what other people tell them to feel. Realize that there is not a single woman who has an abortion “as birth control.”Let's go back to basics - the literal meaning of birth control - something that controls birth. Every woman that has an induced abortion does so, to 'control birth', aka birth control. So simple, even 'most' pro-aborts get it.
If you think I was kidding about Kushielsmoon's comprehension skills, you'd be wrong. You've probably seen the videos where the pro-aborts chant "Abortion on demand and without apology". If not, you're not missing much. Today I saw this tweet by hers-truly. While I firmly believe she intended the second line as a sarcastic joke, there's no doubt in my mind she meant the first part.
To me, 'abortion-on-demand' is self-explanatory, and without regard to the human fetus that is killed. This could mean the fetus gets killed because the girl and her boyfriend had a fight. A wanted fetus one day, and a reminder of the boyfriend that pissed her off the next. That's only one possibility in a sea of thousands.
The list of excuses for killing ones own child is endless in the pro-choice community.

#prochoice Idol Worshipping at #nyflc2011
In preparation for her big speech.
And at the conference. Let the idol worshiping begin.
Filled with profanity? Nice Ms.Herold. What a great influence you are on our youth. Or maybe not.
Yes, lets talk about @AbortionGang. We did need it, and we sincerely appreciate it. It’s an easy way to see the truth about Pro-Choice. The majority of people don't know. But they will.

Unleashing the Hounds?
The first sentence reads "As we get closer to the Senate’s vote on the Pence Amendment, anti-choice organizations have chosen to “unleash the hounds” as it were." She titles her post by referring to Live Action's Lila Rose, as a liar. No, Lila wasn't lying, Katie Stack refuses to see the truth. Katie goes on to rebuke Live Action's videos of Planned Parenthood employees aiding a pimp.
First, none of Live Action’s videos provide any real context for the discussion that actors posing as a “pimp” and “prostitute” have with employees. Never once do the Live Action actors explicitly state that the girls that they are seeking services for are being trafficked.Excuse me? When a pimp says:
If you hear of a 14 or 15 year old pole dancing at a club, call the police. Exploiting young girls is illegal where I come from. Oh and Katie, Live Action posted the full footage versions of the videos on their website. You should probably watch, and maybe even listen to them. They state that some are sex workers, but the definition of a sex worker can range from a prostitute to an erotic dancer. That phrase does not explicitly denote vaginal intercourse, as Live Action claims.
Are Late Term Abortions Ever Necessary?
The Abortion Gang's's latest attempt to justify the slaughter of human fetuses, is based on the story of Danielle and Robb Deaver, who's baby died after being denied life saving treatment.
Danielle's water broke at 22 weeks gestation. Rather than stay in the hospital, and start steriods to develop the baby's lungs, Danielle went home. 8 days later, she went into labor. From what I can tell, the baby was forced through a traumatizing vaginal birth.
It is stated that the baby had a 10% chance of survival. While that is low, it's still a chance, but only if measures are taken to beat the odds. In this case they were not. No life saving measures were used, they just let the baby die.
Further into the Abortion Gang article, written by NYCprochoiceMD, another story about 'Maria', who's baby was found to have severe brain and spinal anomalies. Maria was 21 weeks pregnant. She chose to end the life of her baby. That's no different than holding a pillow over your baby's head to end it's suffering. A better idea is to alleviate the suffering. No one should have the right to end the life of a child, whether it's born or pre-born.
UPDATE: The A/P published the story and I found a couple of comments particularly enlightening.
Nebraska Right to Life executive director Julie Schmit-Albin - "We acknowledge the tragedy that occurs with a poor prenatal diagnosis for the baby. But isn't it more humane for the baby to die in a loving manner with comfort care and in the arms of her parents than by the intentional painful death through abortion?"
Sen. Mike Flood of Norfolk - "Even in these situations where the baby has a terminal condition or there's not much chance of surviving outside the womb, my point has been and remains that is still a life."I couldn't agree more.

One #prochoice Drama Queen
Her doctors response? “Uh, don’t tell me that,” he said. “These aren’t anything like those curettes.” Her tantrum came after she left office. We have a real drama queen here folks!
My whole body felt icy hot. Nothing really sunk until we we’re leaving the clinic, when I began to really feel the anger bubbling up in my belly. I realized how incredibly fucked up it was that he used his power in that situation to disrespect me, a young patient lying on his operating table literally cut open, being penetrated while I spoke my truth. I had stayed silent in that moment, not knowing how to respond safely to his violent assertion that the work I live and breathe for is dirty, shameful – something that I’m not supposed to talk about, let alone take pride in.She must have aced drama in high school, or maybe she's still in high school? What happened is simple. The doctor obviously, and I might add graciously, avoided the subject of abortion.
Hey Chere, if killing babies is what you 'live and breathe' for, consider yourself enGROSSed by abortion. Sad.
Was this baby really 'one too many'?
Sonia writes that her husband had recently been laid off, and that she works part-time, and may not be able to keep her job if she has another baby. They pawned her wedding ring, his tools (which he needs to gain employment), plus several other household items, in order to get money together to pay for an abortion.
She then writes:
So now I pay the pawn shop every month to keep our things -- my wedding ring and my husband's tools are the only ones we can afford to pay on. And if you miss a month, the payment is doubled from then on. So we're stuck in this cycle. We'll be paying for this abortion for a long time.
But the panic is gone. The rest of it, well...we'll figure it out. We'll do whatever we have to do to take care of our family.I hope they can get their things back from the pawn shop. Panic? Indeed, I imagine they were in the state of panic. It's sad that anyone would feel the need to end the life of their unborn child, because it came at an inconvienient time.
How about we stop funding the coffers of abortion mills, and start funding families that need the most help.
#prochoice Wastes No Opportunity to Slam CPC's
What is a Crisis Pregnancy Center? In short, it's a place where you can go if you find yourself in a crisis pregnancy. CPC's offer help to women that want to give birth, and life, to their babies.
It is almost unbelievable that the New York City Council had to approve legislation yesterday that requires crisis pregnancy centers (CPCs) to disclose whether they offer abortion services. These organizations are notorious in the reproductive health community for posing as abortion clinics but being staffed with uneducated anti abortion proponents who spout medically inaccurate information. They advertise abortion services and counseling, and instead harass, abuse, and lie to the women who are in need of accurate information.CPC's do not 'pose' as abortion clinics. In fact, they offer alternatives to abortion. They do not advertise abortion services, because they neither perform abortions, or refer for abortion services.
Anti-abortion Congressmen want to take away Planned Parenthood’s funding, yet they have made no move to regulate or take away the millions of dollars of grant funding that these sham medical offices receive each year. And why would they? CPC's don't end 1.2 million fetal lives in the United States each year, abortion mills like Planned Parenthood do. If feminists really cared about ALL women, they would jump on the band wagon with CPC's to help women who want to give birth, and life, to their unborn babies. What feminists care about is ABORTION. It's really that simple.
Did Mike Huckabee 'attack' Natalie Portman?
HUCKABEE: You know Michael, one of the things that's troubling is that people see a Natalie Portman or some other Hollywood starlet who boasts of, 'Hey look, you know, we're having children, we're not married, but we're having these children, and they're doing just fine.' But there aren't really a lot of single moms out there who are making millions of dollars every year for being in a movie. And I think it gives a distorted image that yes, not everybody hires nannies, and caretakers, and nurses. Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can't get a job, and if it weren't for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care. And that's the story that we're not seeing, and it's unfortunate that we glorify and glamorize the idea of out of children wedlock. This is in no way an 'attack'. What it is, is understanding the reality of how hard being a single mom is. He states that "Most single moms are very poor, uneducated, can't get a job, and if it weren't for government assistance, their kids would be starving to death and never have health care."
You know, right now, 75 percent of black kids in this country are born out of wedlock. 61 percent of Hispanic kids -- across the board, 41 percent of all live births in America are out of wedlock births. And the cost of that is simply staggering.
The typical single pregnant woman, will raise her baby alone.. albeit with help from family and community. She doesn't have the luxury of hiring nannies so she can go find a job. What Mike Huckabee said, is that he is fully aware, and understands that. How is that to be considered 'attacking'?

#prochoice Fights Against Women Being Truly Informed
"Under the guise of protecting and informing women"Guise? Informing women of other options available to them is a guise? No, it's an opportunity to help women who are under pressure to abort.
During the new 72-hour wait, women seeking abortions would have to go to a pregnancy health center for information about “what education, counseling, and other assistance is available to help the pregnant mother keep and care for her child” along with “a private interview to discuss the circumstances that may subject her decision to coercion.”As opposed to an anti-pregnancy health center like Planned Parenthood, where she is rushed through her abortion before she has time to consider viable alternatives. You know, like the baby that could be saved.
The bill, which the governor supports, defines a pregnancy help center in such a way that it is virtually impossible for a pro-choice organization to establish one.Not impossible if they cared about alternatives to women other than abortion. They don't.
One of the highlights of the bill is in the first clause stating:A full-grown, adult woman? What about the teenagers for whom choicers advocate abortions with no parental consent? She took the adult(s) out of the equation.
ENTITLED, An Act to establish certain legislative findings pertaining to the decision of a pregnant mother considering termination of her relationship with her child by an abortion …This relationship they mention is between a full-grown, adult woman and a group of cells that does not have feelings or a brain."
